Which cities around the world are the most worth visiting? Opinions could differ, but if you are looking for a city with as many must-see places as possible, Budapest would be at the top of the list – at least according to the travel planner Triptomatic. This free service recommends interesting places in over 1,500 destinations worldwide and helps independent travelers make their personalized travel guides.
Tripomatic asked its users to name the most attractive cities in the world. Tripomatic.com researched 100.000 trip itineraries created during summer 2013. Among the cities only five have at least 10 sights that attract the attention of more than half of the visiting tourists. Budapest is the number one destination with 12 top attractions including the Hungarian Parliament, which was voted the "best attraction" in Budapest.
Hungary's capital edged ahead of cities like Rome, San Francisco, Istanbul and Florence. Even New York and Paris had only 7 must-see attractions. Among the 30 most visited destinations Las Vegas and Singapore finished at the bottom of the list with no place to offer that were visited by 50% of tourists staying in the two cities.
