Croatian Movie Among Nominees for European Oscar

ZAGREB - Nominees for the prestige award, so-called European Oscar, for the best movie screened at Festival of European Movies have been announced. Among the nominees is one Croatian movie – ''Sve?enikova djeca'' (The kids of a priest) directed by Vinko Bre?an.
Bre?an's movie is in the category for the best European comedy among three other movies, ''Los Amantes Pasajeros'' by Pedro Amoldovar, ''Welcome Mr. President'' by Italian director Ricardo Milani and Danish movie ''Love is all you need'' directed by Susanne Bier.
Movie ''Krugovi'' (Circles) directed by Serb Sr?an Golubovi?, which in Croatia was part of minority production, wasn't nominated for any major awards but it was listed among the 46 best films of festival's preselection.
The award ceremony will be held on December 7th in Berlin.
