Slovenia to stick to int'l missions in 2014

Slovenia will continue involving in international missions in 2014 with total spending to 22.4 million euros (30.4 million U.S. dollars), the Slovenian Press Agency reported on Saturday.
Slovenia, member state of both the European Union and NATO, has been taking part in military and civil missions abroad since 1997.
Currently Slovenia has 418 soldiers, 11 police officers and 14 civilian experts deployed in various missions abroad, with the majority of them being assigned in Kosovo.
Apart from Kosovo and the Palestinian territory where Slovenia has police officers, the tiny Balkan country also has soldiers in Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lebanon, Syria, Somalia, Serbia, Macedonia and Mali.
Its civilian experts are also deployed in Albania and Tajikistan, taking part in missions sponsored by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the world's largest security-oriented intergovernmental organization.
