An online handover ceremony for donated medical supplies between Jiangxi province and the Bulgarian Ministry of Health was held on July 23.

　　In February this year, Bulgaria expressed firm support for Jiangxi at a critical time in the fight against the epidemic. Two days after the state of emergency was declared in Bulgaria on March 13, the first medical supply shipment from Jiangxi arrived in Bulgaria. To further show mutual support against the epidemic, Jiangxi has decided to donate another 2,200 protective suits to the government.

　　Angel Kunchev, chief health inspector of Bulgaria and deputy chief commander of the epidemic prevention and control headquarters, said Jiangxi has provided timely and effective support to Bulgaria and a great help in its control of the epidemic since the outbreak began. He thanked Jiangxi for its assistance and said Jiangxi is a true friend of Bulgaria.

　　Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dong Xiaojun said Jiangxi actively assisted Bulgaria in fighting the epidemic and actively practised the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind. He added he will continue to promote cooperation between Jiangxi and relevant parties in Bulgaria.
