Speaker of Bulgarian Parliament Mihail Mikov attended the Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum held in Beijing on 16th December.
Organizer of the Forum is the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The president of CCPIT said in his speech, that relations between China and Bulgaria has developed stably and the environment for business cooperation has been beneficial. China is the second biggest partner of Bulgaria out of EU, which serves as a good foundation for the development of business relationship between the two countries. Bulgaria's EU membership, its geographical location and financial conditions, are conducive to Chinese investments in the country. He hopes that Bulgaria will continue to provide preferential treatment to the Chinese investors and sound environment for their investments.
More than 100 Chinese and Bulgarian companies took part in the Forum, varing from agriculture, energy, construction, high-tech and tourism sectors.
The Speaker of Bulgarian Parliament Mihail Mikov said in his speech, that his visit to China is the third meeting between leaders of the two countries after Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Orecharski and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang met twice. He said Bulgaria enjoys financial and political stability and boasts of the lowest taxes in EU to attract foreign investors in Bulgaria. He hopes that more and more Chinese investors in the fields of energy and infrastructure could invest in Bulgaria. He also expressed the hope that the economic relationship, business initiatives and investments between Bulgaria and China will hit a new height during the next year.
During the Forum, Chinese and Bulgarian companies have signed a series of deals and agreements.
