The Gospel of Miroslav displayed in the National Museum in Belgrade

The Gospel of Miroslav, the oldest and most valuable Serbian book in the Cyrillic alphabet, will be displayed in the National Museum in Belgrade on November 7. The manuscript, commissioned by Prince Miroslav of Hum in the late 12th century, will be available as part of the exhibition Legacies and Echoes. Stefan Nemanja . A lecture entitled On Visual Art of the Gospel of Miroslav"will also be held. The book was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in the year 2005.
Miroslav Gospels is a 362-page illuminated manuscript Gospel Book on parchment with very rich decorations. It is one of the oldest surviving documents written in Old Church Slavonic.
