On October 26, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao attended the National Day reception marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Czechoslovakia, during which he respectively met with Deputy Foreign Minister Lukáš Kaucký of the Czech Republic and Slovakian Ambassador to China Dusan Bella.
