Anda Gansca, an entrepreneur from Cluj, Romania, is working hard to live up to her title as the co-founder and CEO of Knotch, an App of social network based on colors which she developed in Feb. 2012. The idea that one expresses his opinions with colors now triggers interests of tens of thousands of users along with 1.5 million dolars investment from Sillicon Valley.
With Knotch, a user logs on and sees a set of topics: Apple maps, Obama, tea etc. The user then see a color spectrum from blue to red—blue means cold(or bad), and red means hot(or good), while tealish green means "it's not terrible but still pretty bad". There's also a field to leave a written comment to explain your decision. If you don't see a topic you are interested in, you can create your own. In a clever turn of self-awareness, the topic "Knotch app" got mostly reds and oranges.
The 24-year-old was born in Cluj in Romania. She started three non-profit initiatives, worked in venture capital before she graduated with honor from the Economic Department and the International Relations Deptment of Stanford University. (2013.11.7  cri)
