On 24 November 2025, Ambassador Qi Qianjin met with Professor Dr. Andelko Miraldović, Founder of the International Energy Forum in Croatia and Director of the Institute for Europe and Globalization Studies.

Ambassador Qi highlighted that the recommendations for China’s 15th Five-Year Plan set clear objectives for accelerating a comprehensive green transition in economic and social development. This will further inject momentum into China–EU cooperation on green transition and climate cooperation. He noted that Chinese enterprises’ participation in Croatian wind energy and photovoltaic projects has provided a valuable and replicable model for China–EU cooperation.

Professor Miraldović remarked that both Europe and China support the prevailing trend of globalization. China holds significant strengths in the energy sector, and the EU and China should strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in order to jointly address challenges in energy security.
