On 15 April 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan paid a visit to  SPIRIT Slovenia. She exchanged views with Ms. Tamara Zajec Balažič, Director of SPIRIT Slovenia, on topics including China-Slovenia economic and trade relations and investment cooperation.

Ms Tamara Zajec Balažič outlined SPIRIT’s efforts in promoting two-way investment between China and Slovenia, its organisation of trade missions to China, and its work plan for this year, while expressing a positive view of China’s development achievements and its policy of opening up to the outside world. SPIRIT is willing to devote greater efforts to serving enterprises in both countries in expanding two-way investment cooperation.

Ambassador Kang Yan briefed on China's economic development landscape and the upward trend in bilateral trade against the economic headwinds since the start of the year, alongside policy measures in the 15th Five-Year Plan focused on expanding domestic demand and maintaining a high level of opening-up. She expressed her willingness to work with SPIRIT to jointly promote the sustained, high-quality development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
