Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia Jointly Meet the Journalists, Briefing on the Achievements of the 3rd Meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern European Countries

In the afternoon of December 16 local time, after attending the 3rd meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC), Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia, the host country, jointly met the journalists, briefing on the achievements of the meeting.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and the CEEC enjoy tremendous cooperation potential and the Belgrade Guidelines released at the meeting will clarify the direction and prospect of further cooperation. The broad needs of the CEEC in infrastructure construction can form a huge investment force, drive the economic growth and improve people's livelihood. China boasts ample equipment capacity in manufacturing industry, with which China can build factories in the CEEC, support local infrastructure construction and make greater use of China's excess capacity as well. This is the cooperation of mutual benefit and win-win results.

Li Keqiang stressed that China-CEEC cooperation is an important component of China-EU cooperation mechanism, which is conducive to not only China and the CEEC, but also the integration and balanced development of Europe, the expansion of the EU and regional and world stability and development. China stands ready to continue its efforts with the CEEC to constantly promote the China-EU relations for in-depth development.

Vučić expressed that CEEC-China cooperation benefits regional development and prosperity as well as comprehensive development of EU-China relations. This meeting of Heads of Government of CEEC and China has mapped out the cooperation direction, clarified key areas for cooperation and yielded fruitful results. The CEEC stands ready to join hands with China to well implement the results of the meeting and promote bilateral cooperation and EU-China relations for greater development.
