China-Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue was held in Chongqing, China

Hosted by Ministry of Education, P.R. China and organized by CEAIE and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, the "China-Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue" was held in Chongqing on 28th June, 2013. Attending the Dialogue are the education ministers, ambassadors, rectors, scholars and officials from Republic of Albania, Republic of Bulgaria, People's Republic of China, Republic of Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Republic of Poland, Romania, Republic of Serbia, the Slovak Republic and Republic of Slovenia. Mr. Song Tao, Vice Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, P. R. China, Dr. Hao Ping, Vice Minister, Ministry of Education, P.R. China, and Mr. Wu Gang, Vice Mayor, Chongqing Municipal Government, attended the meeting.



In the Dialogue, views were exchanged extensively on the theme of "Development and Strategies on Education in the Era of Globalization". And discussions were focused on the issues of "Student Mobility" and "Joint Talent Fostering" and etc.



Representatives have recognized the positive role of China-Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue, and agreed that strengthening the educational exchange and cooperation will further mutual understanding and friendship and contribute to sustained social and economic development in the region with strong support of the people.
The 'Chongqing Statement' was passed at the closing ceremony.
