WARSAW, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) --Poland's President Andrzej Duda plans to take part in the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games to support Polish athletes.

Last Sunday, Duda took part in the charity alpine skiing competition "12H Slalom Marathon Zakopane 2022." A few days earlier, he ended his quarantine after a second coronavirus infection.

The ski jumping World Cup competition was also held last weekend in Zakopane.

Ski jumping is the most popular winter sport in Poland and the Poles' greatest hope for medals during the Beijing Games.
