On March 18, Chinese Ambassador Qi Qianjin met with former Croatian President Ivo Josipović, Rector Vedran Mornar of VERN' University, as well as visiting faculty and students from Beijing Vocational College of Art and Media. 

Ambassador Qi commended Professor Josipović for his longstanding contributions to China-Croatia exchanges and cooperation. He noted that the two countries have complementary strengths in education, and expressed hope for closer university collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges and joint research. The Chinese Embassy will continue to support such efforts. 

Josipović highlighted China’s remarkable achievements in economic and social development and the Belt and Road Initiative，noting the great potential for bilateral cooperation in education and culture. He expressed his willingness to continue promoting exchanges between universities of the two countries. 

During the meeting, violin students from VERN’ University performed the Chinese piece Spring Festival Overture.
