On April 7, 2026, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan met with Mr. Daniel Dimevski, President of the Olympic Committee of North Macedonia. The two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in sports exchanges and training, enhance competitive sports performance, and jointly uphold the Olympic spirit.

Ambassador Jiang noted that China has successfully hosted the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. China is accelerating its efforts to become a leading sports nation, while promoting nationwide fitness to improve public health and foster all-round human development. China stands ready to share its experience in hosting major sporting events and advancing the Healthy China initiative, and to use sports as a bridge to deepen people-to-people exchanges and friendship between the two countries.
