On April 17, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan attended the WomenIN Business Regional Conference 2026 in Koper. In a one-on-one interview, she highlighted China's achievements in empowering women through education, the improvement of women's employment rate and support for female entrepreneurship. Plans and visions for supporting women in achieving higher-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period were also mentioned. Ambassador Kang shared the touching story of Ms. Zhang Guimei, an outstanding Chinese high school teacher, and encouraged women to take proactive steps toward a better future.

The conference was initiated and hosted by Internationalis media of Slovenia in 2025, and this was its second session. Over 80 outstanding women representatives from the political, business, diplomatic, scientific and technological, and cultural sectors of Slovenia and the region participated in the event.
