On August 21, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Slovenia, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana (FELU), co-hosted a Youth Roundtable Forum. Over 60 participants, including young diplomats from the embassy as well as faculty and students from the university, attended the event.

In his remarks, Mr. Zhao Binghui, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of China in Slovenia, highlighted the promising prospects of China’s economy. He encouraged the young participants who are about to embark on study visits tours in China to experience the pulse of China’s development firsthand, gain knowledge through mutual exchanges, and foster friendships.

Young diplomats delivered thematic presentations on topics such as China-EU economic and trade relations, China’s new energy vehicle industry, poverty alleviation endeavors, and cultural innovation. They also engaged in lively interactions with the students and faculty, presenting a comprehensive perspective on China’s development achievements and governance experience. The diplomats additionally introduced China’s travel facilitation policies and related services.

The event atmosphere was vibrant and engaging. Participants expressed that the exchange provided them with a deeper and more multidimensional understanding of China. They all eagerly anticipated their upcoming visits to China to further explore and learn more about the country.
