Local time, August 14, to deepen exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations of China and Serbia, build a cross-border platform for artistic communication, share the voice of Chinese art in the new era, and celebrate the ten years of friendly cooperation between the two countries, the "All Things Emerge" China-Serbia International Joint Art Exhibition opened at the China Cultural Center in Belgrade. Co-organizers of the exhibition are the China Cultural Center in Belgrade, Shandong Academy of Contemporary Chinese and Western Painting, and Miloševa Art Camp of Serbia. The exhibition brings together fine works by artists from China, Serbia and France. Through diverse artistic forms, it interprets the Eastern humanistic philosophy of "all things coexist and beauty shines together", marking an iconic event for cultural exchanges and international artistic mutual learning between China and Serbia.

Tang Dasheng, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia; Adrian Milon, Minister Counsellor of the Romanian Embassy in Serbia; Zhang Aimin, Director of the China Cultural Center in Belgrade; Zhang Xianling, President of Shandong Academy of Contemporary Chinese and Western Painting; Amira Hamidović Mostarac, Director of the Prijepolje Cultural Center; Goran Čipjak, Professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade and Artistic Director of Miloševa Art Camp; Vladimir Kurašević, Curator of the Nikola Radosević Gallery attended the opening ceremony. Shi Wenwen, Deputy Director of the China Cultural Center in Belgrade, hosted the event. The opening ceremony was solemn and elegant. Artists, cultural guests, friends of China and local art lovers gathered to appreciate transnational artworks and embrace the rendezvous of civilizations. Works on display feature diverse styles, rich genres and profound themes. Visitors can feel the gentle profundity and poetic conception of Eastern freehand aesthetics, the passion and freedom of Balkan art, as well as the avant-garde vision and innovative expression of contemporary French art. A dialogue and integration of Eastern and Western aesthetics unfold here.

Centered on the theme "All Things Emerge", the exhibition features invited artists from China, Serbia and France. The theme symbolizes that diversity converges to generate myriad phenomena and civilizations integrate to bring new vitality. "All Things Emerge" depicts the origin of artistic creation and serves as a vivid metaphor for civilizational exchanges. The highlight of the exhibition lies in breaking the isolation of civilizations and crossing geographical and linguistic barriers. Artists of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds use art as a universal language to conduct in-depth cross-cultural and cross-border communication. Artworks converse with one another, cultural traditions collide, and ideas and inspirations nourish each other. Through mutual learning, new aesthetic perceptions and artistic expressions take shape, vividly illustrating the profound truth that "civilizations become enriched through exchanges and cultures thrive via mutual learning". The Eastern wisdom conveyed by the exhibition — all things grow together without harming one another — embodies China’s cultural vision and contemporary value: harmony between humanity and nature, inclusiveness for diverse civilizations, and harmony in beauty.

As one of the key organizers, the China Cultural Center in Belgrade has long been at the forefront of China-Serbia exchanges, committed to cultural communication and civilizational mutual learning in the Balkans. It keeps building an authoritative platform for artistic exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and foreign countries. The Center provided comprehensive support for the standardized implementation, professional presentation and extensive outreach of this exhibition, vigorously boosting the overseas communication of contemporary Chinese art in the new era.

The co-organizer Shandong Academy of Contemporary Chinese and Western Painting adheres to its development philosophy of "inheriting classics, integrating Chinese and Western cultures, upholding fundamentals while pursuing innovation". Rooted in Qilu cultural heritage and embracing an international vision, the academy has long been dedicated to international artistic exchanges, creation of fine works and global cultural outreach. Leading the planning of this trilateral joint exhibition is an important practice for the academy to engage in international artistic mutual learning, tell Chinese art stories and spread literary and artistic voices of the new era.

The exhibited works cover a wide range of themes and demonstrate superb artistic standards, fully showcasing the profound mastery, unique creative styles and vibrant artistic vitality of artists from the three countries. The exhibition not only presents a high-quality cross-border art feast for local Serbian audiences, but also enriches the people-to-people dimension of the China-Serbia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The successful opening of the "All Things Emerge" International Artists Joint Exhibition is a tribute to a decade of China-Serbia friendship and a vivid example of in-depth integration between Eastern and Western civilizations. Going forward, all parties will continue to take art as the bond and beauty as the bridge, carrying out a series of activities including transnational joint art exhibitions, academic seminars and artist exchange visits. The joint efforts will continuously promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, enable diverse cultures to coexist and thrive with enduring vitality, and write new chapters for China-Serbia friendship and China-Europe cultural integration.
