On September 13, the concert Moonlight Unites Two Lands, Melodies Bring Kindred Spirits Together — celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the Moonlight Across the Miles - Mid-Autumn Festival event, was held at the Chinese Embassy in Romania. Over 140 guests from all walks of life in Romania watched the performance. Charge d’Affaires Zhou Xiang attended and delivered remarks.

Mr. Zhou Xiang said the Mid-Autumn Festival embodies Chinese people’s yearning for reunion and happiness, while National Day embodies the shared memory of the nation’s arduous journey forward. Chinese and Romanian artists performing together to celebrate the two festivals fully demonstrates mutual respect and appreciation between the two countries for each other’s cultures. It serves as a vivid sample of heart-to-heart communication and friendship-building. The Embassy will continue to act as a platform and bridge to foster exchanges between artists, cultural institutions and young people of both countries, and consolidate the foundation of friendship between the Chinese and Romanian peoples.
The concert was jointly presented by the Guangxi Art Troupe and ALLEGRETTO Romania National Children's Choir. The repertoire featured Grand Chorus of the Dong ethnic group, dance, traditional opera, vocal music and other art forms. The Guangxi Art Troupe performed Romanian classics including Hora dances, while the choir rendered a number of Chinese songs. Together they delivered a musical feast blending Chinese and Western artistic styles.
