On 13 October 2026, Jiang Xiaoyan, Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia, visited Saint Cyril Methodi Primary School in Kocani and attended the special screening of the documentary Shen Zhou 13. Nearly 100 people, including teachers and students of the school and local residents, watched the film.

Ambassador Jiang briefed the audience on the ongoing First Chinese Film Festival in North Macedonia and China-North Macedonia film and art exchanges. She noted that film is an art that transcends borders and languages, and also a bridge connecting civilizations and hearts. The youth are the hope for a better future and the key to carrying forward traditional friendship. She expressed the hope that the "Chinese Films on Campus" initiative will serve as an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries, inspire the younger generation to aim high and dare to pursue their dreams, and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Shen Zhou 13  is China’s first 8K live-action space documentary, filmed against the backdrop of the 183-day mission of the Shenzhou-13 spacecraft.

Kocani enjoys dynamic exchanges with its sister city Wuxi. Multiple youth representatives from Kocani have participated in the Wuxi Science and Innovation Youth Camp, and many students from the school have won awards in the "Friendship City Painting", the International Youth Painting Competition held in Wuxi.
