On October 15, 2026, Dai Qingli, Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria, met with Miloshev, Minister of Culture of Bulgaria. Also present were Deputy Minister Grekova, Minister's Advisor Todorova, and Counsellor Zhang Yanbo, who is in charge of cultural, educational and scientific affairs at the Embassy.

Both sides spoke highly of the indispensable role of cultural exchange and cooperation in enhancing mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between the two countries. They agreed that there is enormous potential for bilateral cultural exchange and cooperation, and they also expressed their willingness to further promote interaction between the cultural and artistic institutions of the two countries, deepen people-to-people bonds, and inject new momentum into the long-term development of bilateral relations.
