Exhibition of Chinese paintings on fans opens in Bulgaria

SOFIA, May 28 -- An exhibition "Microcosm of Chinese art -- painting on fans" marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China opened here on Wednesday evening.
As much as 52 works are presented at the one-week event, jointly organized by China National Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, Chinese Ministry of Culture, Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria and Bulgarian National Palace of Culture.
By organizing and presenting this exhibition, the Ministry of Culture of China and the National Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting hope to express friendly feelings of China to Bulgarian people and make modest contribution to the celebration of this 65th anniversary, Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Wei Jinghua said at the opening ceremony, which was also attended by the ambassadors of Russia and Kazakhstan.
Velislava Krasteva, Deputy Minister of Culture, said Bulgarian audience with great interest will attend this meeting with the art of China.
The exhibition inspires viewers with the precision and elegance of traditional Chinese art, and the warm wishes for prosperity, she said.
