Bosnian defense minister praises military ties with China

On July 31, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Defense Minister Marina Pendes attended the reception to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) held by Chinese embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that the two countries’ military cooperation is at a high level.

 

Pendes recalled her previous visits to China and said that what impressed her the most was how China plays such an important role in UN peacekeeping operations. She said China adheres to the opening-up policy and is a crucial partner in maintaining world peace.

 

Pendes spokes highly of the two militaries’ cooperation, and expressed that the two countries have developed effective cooperation on peacekeeping and personnel training. China provided civilian equipment to Bosnia, which helps Bosnia’s military to enhance the ability of disaster prevention and relief to benefit Bosnian people.

 

Pendes said that Bosnia has established training facilities specialize in mine clearance and peacekeeping personnel Institution. The cooperation in the field of peacekeeping operations of the two militaries’ could be advanced to a higher level in the future.
