URUMQI, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The first Urumqi-Budapest e-commerce cargo train set off from China's Xinjiang after completing customs clearance on Sunday.

The train was carrying a total of nearly 50 million yuan (7.8 million U.S. dollars) of goods.

"We focus on the model of China-Europe freight train plus cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse. It has cut the time of logistics transportation from 50 days to 20 days. Through our supporting warehouse and logistics system, we will offer a supply chain covering 120 million people in Europe and ensure a 24-hour service," said Liao Kai, the representative of Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone.
