Yantai, Zrenjanin establish sister city ties

The coastal city of Yantai, East China's Shandong province signed a sister city relationship agreement with Zrenjanin, Serbia on Dec 6.

Zrenjanin is the sixth largest city in Serbia and the third largest city in the Vojvodina province in Serbia. According to the agreement, the two sides will further deepen cooperation in industries such as agriculture, economy, trade, science and technology, as well as cultural tourism.

Yantai has a solid industrial foundation, a high-level opening-up and a favorable investment environment.

The city will give full play to its advantages to become better integrated into China's dual-circulation development paradigm and strengthen international cooperation in more fields, said Zheng Deyan, mayor of Yantai.

Since the city established its first sister city ties with San Diego, the United States in 1985, Yantai has forged similar relations and friendly cooperation partnerships with 44 cities in 20 countries.
