Lithuanian producers get opportunity to export organic products to China
2017-08-21 12:31 | BNS

Lithuanian producers will be able to export organic products to China if they are certified as meeting the Asian country's standards.

Lithuania's organic farming certification body Ekoagros said that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the China Organic Food Certification Center on organic product certification according to the Chinese national standard.

"This opens a new opportunity for Lithuanian farmers and producers to have their products certified according to China's national standard and to supply organic products to the Chinese market," Ekoagros Director Antanas Makarevicius said in a press release.

Producers will have to apply to Ekoagros to have their products checked by both Lithuanian and Chinese experts and to be issued with certificates.
