For Lithuanian organic products - access to the Chinese market

  Ecoagros has signed a cooperation agreement with the China Organic Food Certification Center on the certification of organic products under the National Standard for Organic Food Products of the People's Republic of China.

  "It is a new opportunity for Lithuanian farmers and producers to certify according to the Chinese national standard and to supply organic products to the Chinese market," says Antanas Makarevičius, Director of Public Enterprise "Ekoagros".

  China Organic Food Certification Center (COFCC, http://www.ofcc.org.cn/en/) is a special-purpose organization under the Ministry of Agriculture of China that is responsible for promoting organic farming and certification of organic farming as well as support of organic farming, training.

  The Certification Authority is accredited by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China. The status of an independent corporation is registered at the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

  Applicants who wish to certify in accordance with the national standard of the People's Republic of China must apply for Ecoagros. After verification, an entity that meets all the required criteria will be issued with a certificate. Inspections will be carried out by Ecoagros and COFCC, decisions and certification will be made by the COFCC.

  Whole processing chain requires certification – from raw material to final product, including all intermediate links.
