Chinese Embassy in Hungary holds reception to celebrate PLA's 92nd anniversary

On July 30, Senior Colonel Kong Xiaomin, military attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, held a reception to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army in Budapest.


Representatives from relevant ministries, law enforcement bodies, other embassies and all sectors of Hungarian society attended the reception. Ambassador Duan Jielong, along with all diplomats from the Chinese embassy was also present at the event.


In Kong's speech, he briefly looked back on the PLA's glorious history and great contributions over the past 92 years, and stressed that China adheres to a strictly defensive military policy, which means that China will never seeking hegemony, expansion or spheres of influence. This, he added, is the distinctive feature of China's national defense in the new era.


A themed photo exhibition, China's Army Maintaining World Peace, was also held at the reception. Guests praised China's peaceful rise and the achievements of the PLA, and expressed their support to the development of the China-Hungary strategic partnership.
