A key project “Air Silk Road” jointly built by Henan Aviation Investment Corporation and Lithuania Avia Solutions Group was officially put into operation in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province on June 14, 2020.

The move fills a gap in Henan's transport aviation training and expends central China’s access to the rest of the world. On the morning of the same day, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued a certificate for the first flight simulator of BAA(China) Aviation Training Centre.

"The launch of the aviation training program in China is a good opportunity and it is of great significance to promote the mutually beneficial dialogue between Lithuania and China in the field of transport and logistics," said Vladislav, deputy minister of Transport Department of Lithuania. He congratulated BAA(China) aviation training center on its operation via live video and hoped two distant countries would work together to achieve the same goal of providing the highest quality training and education for aviation professionals.

In recent years, with the development of the “Air Silk Road” between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg, a growing number of airlines have opened routes in Zhengzhou Airport under the demonstration effect of Luxembourg Cargo Airlines.

BAA Training, with a European EASA certification, is the largest and most competitive aviation training institution in Central and Eastern Europe, with access to more than 100 full mission flight simulator networks in 40 countries worldwide, occupying the position of the third-largest independent training institution in Europe.

After being put into use, BAA(China) aviation training Centre can continuously improve the advantage of aviation professionals in Henan province and enrich the industrial chain for the "Air Silk Road" and the aviation port area of Zhengzhou.
