On September 24, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in North Macedonia held a reception marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. More than 450 guests attended, including Deputy Prime Minister Ljupcho Dimovski, ministers, MPs, mayors, foreign diplomats, and representatives of Chinese companies and overseas Chinese.

In her remarks, Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan said that China is embarking with full confidence on the great journey of national rejuvenation through Chinese way of modernization, pursuing openness, shared benefits and win-win cooperation, advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, implementing the Four Global Initiatives, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. The year 2026 marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan; China’s economic development is embracing new momentum, people’s lives are taking on a new look, and opening-up and cooperation are creating new opportunities. China and North Macedonia are enjoying highly complementary economies, practical cooperation is gaining steady momentum, and traditional friendship runs deep. China hopes to deepen mutual trust with North Macedonia, support each other’s success, and create a brighter future together.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Guests enjoyed performances by musicians from both countries, spoke highly of China’s remarkable achievements and sense of responsibility as a major country, exchanged views on future cooperation and wishes for peace and prosperity.
