On December 19, 2013, the first High-Level Symposium of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC), jointly organized by the China-Central and Eastern Europe Cooperation Secretariat and the China Foundation for International Studies (CFIS), was held in Beijing, Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Symposium.

Beijing Oct 24, The Young Political Leaders Forum of China and CEE countries is held today in Beijing. Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui attended the opening ceremony and made a speech.

On August 14, 2012, Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries held a forum on localities and businesses participating in China-Central and Eastern Europe cooperation in Beijing.



An opening ceremony for the Local Leaders' Meeting of China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) Countries was held on July 3,2013 in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. The meeting is the first to be held under the China-CEE cooperative framework and is intended to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.



On May 15, 2013, Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao met in the Foreign Ministry with principal officials of cultural departments of and diplomatic envoys from 16 Central and Eastern European countries, who are the guests for China-Central and Eastern Europe Cultural Cooperation Forum.
