The Meeting of National Coordinators for China-CEEC Cooperation Is Held in Bucharest, Romania

On October 15, 2013, the Meeting of National Coordinators for China-CEEC Cooperation was held in Bucharest, capital of Romania. Song Tao, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary-General of Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, and Dan Sova, Minister Delegate for Infrastructure Projects of National Interest and Foreign Investments and National Coordinator of Romania, co-chaired the meeting. The national coordinators or coordinator representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia attended the meeting.

The participants agreed that since the launch of the mechanism, China-CEEC cooperation has been developing with a good momentum and has achieved fruitful results. It has not only provided strong impetus to the development of bilateral relations between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, but also contributed to the development of China-EU relations. At present, China-CEEC Cooperation is showing strong vitalities and attractiveness and is moving forward with a more pragmatic, positive attitude.

The participants focused their discussions on the next-phase cooperation and had an in-depth exchange of views particularly around high-level exchanges, trade and investment promotion, infrastructure development, scientific and technological exchanges, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
