Mrs Ingrid BROCKOVÁ, Ambassador National Coordinator of the Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic

Ingrid Brocková is currently Director General for Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. She served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the OECD from 18 October 2011 – 31 August 2015.

Mrs Brocková was born in 1963. She holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, which she obtained in 1991. In 1999 she obtained a Masters in International Public Policy (M.I.P.P.) from Johns Hopkins University, Washington D.C., U.S.A.

Mrs Brocková entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993, later serving as Deputy Director of the Department of International Economic Cooperation. Then, in 1996, she was posted to the Embassy of the Slovak Republic to the United States where she served as Economic Officer. In 2000, she returned to Bratislava and was appointed Deputy Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Subsequently, in 2001, she was named Director of the Department. From 2001 to 2008, she served as Country Manager of the World Bank in Bratislava and later Director of the Director of the Department of EU Policies at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
