Article 1 This Regulation is enacted in accordance with the Trademark Law of the People’s Republic of China for the purpose of improving the administration and protection of the logo of the Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (hereinafter referred to as the official logo of China-CEEC Cooperation).
Article 2 The official logo of China-CEEC Cooperation in this Regulation is as follows:
Article 3 The official logo is the symbol of China-CEEC Cooperation. It is owned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and managed by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Article 4 The official logo of China-CEEC Cooperation is mainly used for:
(1) Venues, backgrounds, documents, articles, etc. for various types of offline and online domestic and diplomatic activities including state functions and important official meetings at various levels carried out by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation within the framework of China-CEEC Cooperation;
(2) Venues, backgrounds, documents, articles, etc. for various official offline and online activities at various levels hosted by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation;
(3) The official website (www.china-ceec.org), WeChat account, etc. of China-CEEC Cooperation;
(4) Announcements, notices, video products, graphic and text products, etc. issued by the China-CEEC Cooperation and its Secretariat;
(5) Official papers, office supplies, etc. of the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation;
(6) Items, commemorative articles, etc. for exhibitions held or commissioned by China-CEEC Cooperation and its Secretariat;
(7) Official activities, official website, WeChat accounts, etc. of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China; and
(8) Other scenarios authorized by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation that are in compliance with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
Article 5 Except for the scenarios listed in Article 4 of this Regulation, no other institution, organization or individual shall use the official China-CEEC Cooperation logo or other similar logos without authorization. In case of a legitimate reason to use the logo, a written application shall be formally submitted to the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation, and the usage is allowed only after a written approval is made by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation. Those who have been granted the authorization shall not transfer it to any other parties.
Article 6 The applicant for use of the official China-CEEC Cooperation logo shall indicate the purpose, pattern and scope of use, and specify the period of use. Those who wish to continue to use the logo after the authorization expires should reapply. Those who do not reapply shall immediately stop the usage of the logo after the expiration.
Article 7 Those who have been granted the authorization to use the logo shall obtain a vector image of the basic logo from the Office of the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation. The vector image can be resized proportionally. When used, the logo must be clear and identifiable, and the shape, composition, text font, text-to-image ratio, color, etc. of the logo must not be altered.
Article 8 Unauthorized use of the official China-CEEC Cooperation logo is prohibited, including on commodities, packaging, containers and commercial transaction documents, or in advertising, exhibitions and all other commercial activities.
Article 9 In case of non-compliance with this Regulation when using the official China-CEEC Cooperation logo, the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation will demand immediate rectification. For those who refuse to make rectification, the Secretariat will suspend their use of the logo. Any behavior that constitutes a violation of law may be reported to the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation, intellectual property administration authorities or law enforcement authorities.
Article 10 No institution, organization or individual shall use damaged, stained or unqualified official China-CEEC Cooperation logo. The institutions, organizations and individuals who use the logo lawfully shall respect and protect it, and use it properly to uphold the image of China-CEEC Cooperation.
Article 11 Governments and relevant departments of the Central and Eastern European participants of China-CEEC Cooperation that need to use the official logo for such reasons as holding related activities within China-CEEC Cooperation framework shall submit an application to the Secretariat in written forms including a diplomatic note or a diplomatic note forwarding an official letter through their diplomatic missions in China, Chinese diplomatic missions in their countries or other diplomatic channels. The applicant shall use the logo in accordance with the previous articles of the Regulation only after the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation has granted authorization in written form through diplomatic channels.
Article 12 The Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation is responsible for the interpretation of this Regulation.
Article 13 This Regulation shall come into force on the date of issuance.
