Liu Haixing, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, welcomes senior delegation from central and eastern European(CEE)countries

Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries and Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Haixing met visiting senior delegates from the CEE countries in Shanghai on July 9th. With a warm welcome to the visiting delegates, Liu said he hoped the delegates would take this opportunity to get a comprehensive understanding of a vivid China. Liu also expressed his wishes of making joint efforts with these countries to promote cooperation between China and the CEE countries. Meanwhile, the delegates said they highly value the cooperation between China and the central and eastern European countries, and they wish to get a better understanding of China through the visit, thus strengthening mutual understanding and trust between China and CEE countries.
The visiting delegation, at the invitation of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, is comprised of 12 senior officials from 11 CEE countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, and Serbia.
