China appreciates the Hungarian side for playing a positive role in promoting China-EU relations and the "16+1" cooperation between China and the CEEC, and is willing to make joint efforts with Hungary to well host the next "16+1" summit in Budapest and further make the "16+1" cooperation bigger and stronger, so as to better benefit peoples of the 17 countries.

Peter Szijjarto noted that the relationship between both countries has never been better than it is now. Both countries are conducting close and fruitful cooperation in various fields including economy, trade, finance, tourism and people-to-people and cultural exchanges. Attaching high importance to China, Hungary is privileged to and will continuously devote itself to becoming the most friendly and trustworthy friend and partner of China in Europe, and continue to firmly support China on issues concerning its major concerns and core interests. The Hungarian side looks forward to continuously maintaining close and in-depth communication and advancing practical cooperation in various fields with China, especially in pushing the "Belt and Road" construction for tangible progress at an early date. Hungary is proud of playing a leading role in CEEC-China cooperation, and will continue to commit itself to becoming the bridge and precursor for Chinese enterprises entering into Europe, and playing a more positive role in EU-China relations and the "16+1" cooperation.
