On August 5, Director Lu Hualiang met in Nanjing with Danijel Nikolić, Chairman of the Assembly of the Belt and Road Institute Belgrade and former Assistant Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Lu Hualiang stated that Serbia is the first European country to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind for the new era with China, and an important partner of China in Southeast Europe. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Serbia relations have operated at a high level in recent years. Against this backdrop, exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu and Serbia are growing increasingly close in the fields of economy and trade, scientific and technological innovation, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges. The Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province is willing to continue serving as a bridge, promoting practical cooperation between Jiangsu and Serbia in fields such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and contributing strength to the building of a China-Serbia community with a shared future for the new era.

Nikolić thanked the Foreign Affairs Office for its warm hospitality and expressed that he will actively promote cooperation between Serbia and Jiangsu in economy and trade, culture, education and other areas, and work to implement cooperative projects such as the establishment of a “Serbia House” in Jiangsu.
