On October 19, 2026, Ambassador to Slovenia Kang Yan met with Franc Breznik, Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the National Assembly of Slovenia.

Ambassador Kang Yan stated that in recent years, with the joint efforts of both sides, China-Slovenia relations have been stable and growing, with fruitful results in cooperation across various fields, and this sound momentum is worth cherishing and maintaining. Exchanges and cooperation between legislative bodies are an important part of bilateral relations. China is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Slovenia's newly elected parliament, enhance understanding and trust, and promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-Slovenia relations.

Chairman Breznik spoke positively of bilateral relations, stating that Slovenia values China's status as a major country, firmly adheres to the one-China policy, and is ready to engage in candid exchanges with China, further strengthen economic and trade cooperation, so as to benefit the people of both countries.
