Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan visited Makedonski Brod in North Macedonia on October 27 and met with Mayor Risteski.

Mayor Risteski said Makedonski Brod has benefited from friendly cooperation between the two countries. The Kozjak hydropower station built by a Chinese company supplies clean electricity, Chinese solar products help solve power supply problems in scattered settlements, and a Chinese-owned auto parts company provides hundreds of local jobs. “We welcome Chinese investment and look forward to deeper cooperation in green energy, eco-tourism and organic food processing,” he said.

Ambassador Jiang said China is accelerating its green and low-carbon transition, and Chinese manufacturing is helping to make green electricity accessible worldwide. The 15th Five-Year Plan of China draws a new blueprint for its modernization and a new vision for win-win cooperation with the world. China is ready to deepen practical cooperation, expand local exchanges and share experience in rural revitalization and green development for the benefit of local people.
Makedonski Brod lies in the central-western part of North Macedonia and is the country's third-largest municipality by area.
