Ambassador Li Chao calls upon Secretary General of Estonian Foreign Ministry

  On 5 September, the Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Li Chao paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Mr. Rainer Saks. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and practical cooperation.

  The Ambassador expressed his warm congratulations on the Estonian centenary, and spoke positively of the achievements of social and economic development made by Estonia. "Our relationship is in the best period in recent years. We have increased high-level contacts, deepened our mutual trust, and yielded fruitful results in various fields by practical cooperation within the format of the Belt and Road Initiative and 16+1 Cooperation. Based upon the principle of mutual respect, equality, and win-win cooperation, China is ready to further tap our cooperation potentials and push forward the development of bilateral relations." The Ambassador said.

  The Secretary General said, "Estonia attaches great importance to China-Estonia relationship and looks forward to participate actively in China's Belt and Road Initiative and 16+1 Cooperation. Estonia will joint efforts with China to push forward the development of bilateral relationship by strengthening China-Estonia relationship and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation."
