A series of strategic cooperation agreements were recently reached between China's Guangdong province and Serbia, which will advance trade, investment and other cooperation between the two countries.

The agreements were signed at the 2022 Global Investment Conference for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The conference has 22 overseas branches, including in the UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia.

The conference demonstrated the construction and development achievements of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to the world and is expected to promote its trading business with various countries.

According to the Cantonese government, the total economic volume of the Greater Bay Area in 2021 was about 12.6 trillion yuan ($1.8 trillion), an increase of about 2.4 trillion yuan from 2017, and it has created 12 percent of China's economic volume with less than 1 percent of the country's land area.

Mladen Matovic, the representative of Made-in-China.com in Serbia, said at the meeting that they are disposed to build a trade platform for Chinese-Serbian cooperation, on which they will provide high-quality Chinese-made products and services to Serbia, and promote the development of the Serbian supply chain.

Recently, Made-in-China.com co-organized the Serbia Direct Procurement Meeting with two business organizations in Serbia and released a total of $10 million of procurement demand from quality buyers in Serbia to Chinese suppliers.
