On April 23, Ambassador Qi Qianjin attended the opening ceremony of BYD’s first 4S store in Croatia. The event was attended by over 200 guests from political, business, and media circles, including Prpic, President of the Croatian Electric Vehicle Association.

Ambassador Qi stated that the establishment of BYD’s first sales outlet in Croatia will provide local consumers with high-quality electric vehicles, contribute to Croatia’s green transition, and create employment opportunities, delivering mutual benefits for both China and Croatia. He expressed the hope that Croatian consumers would enjoy the new experience brought by electric mobility. He emphasized that China and Croatia share common interests in green development. Ambassador Qi also pointed out that the recent imposition of so-called “reciprocal tariffs” by the United States harms others without benefiting itself. Both China and Europe are steadfast supporters of economic globalization and free trade, and the two sides should continue to collaborate to resist such unilateral measures.

Croatian guests expressed their warm welcome to BYD’s entry into the local market, highlighting the quality, performance, and design advantages of BYD’s vehicles. They also spoke highly of China’s achievements in the field of new energy.

The event showcased four available car models and two chassis models. BYD plans to open two additional 4S stores and service centers in Zagreb in the near future.
