On the afternoon of September 9, the Thematic Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Development and Innovation of the 2026 China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation was held in Ningbo. The forum focused on international scientific and technological exchange and industry-university-research cooperation, looking ahead to new directions and new opportunities for bilateral cooperation. It attracted more than one hundred science and technology representatives from CEEC countries, diplomatic envoys in China, and representatives from Chinese and international universities, research institutes, and sci-tech innovation enterprises.
The forum was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, and organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Ningbo Municipal Government. The keynote speeches were delivered under a two-way sharing model of “authoritative Chinese experts plus leading CEEC scholars,” with six experts from China and CEEC countries, delivering thematic presentations. Chinese experts focused on the development trends of the artificial intelligence industry, frontier technologies for world models, embodied intelligence, and innovative applications of humanoid robots, systematically showcasing China’s latest achievements in basic research and technological applications in the field of intelligent science and technology.
Senior CEEC experts delivered thematic presentations on frontier areas including intelligent autonomous modular systems, AI-enabled smart green industries, and cloud robotics communication technologies. They systematically introduced CEEC academic strengths, technological advantages, and industrial ecosystem development in artificial intelligence and robotics, providing international perspectives and diverse cooperation ideas for two-way innovation integration.
This forum has further enriched the achievements of a decade of China-CEEC sci-tech innovation cooperation, consolidate the foundation for cooperation between the two sides in artificial intelligence and robotics, and deepen China-CEEC academic exchanges, technological synergy, and industrial collaboration.
