On the afternoon of 26 November and the morning of 27 November 2013, local time, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met in Bucharest respectively with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
When meeting with Djukanovic, Li Keqiang said that the Chinese government attaches importance to developing relations with Montenegro and is ready to further consolidate the sound political relations between the two countries and to strengthen cooperation in the fields of railways, shipbuilding and tourism. The Chinese side supports domestic businesses for joining in the construction of the north-south highway, thermal power and other infrastructure projects in Montenegro. China is ready to expand import of competitive products from Montenegro so as to promote a dynamic balance of bilateral trade and to push for more outcomes of bilateral cooperation.
Djukanovic appreciated the principles and proposals raised by Li Keqiang to strengthen CEE-China cooperation, expressing that enhancing cooperation with China is conducive to Montenegro's economic growth. Montenegro is ready to work with China to effectively implement cooperation projects in roads, electric power and other fields and to actively discuss railway, port and other infrastructure cooperation so as to push for more outcomes of CEE-China cooperation.
When meeting with Gruevski, Li Keqiang said that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of China-Macedonia diplomatic relationship and bilateral exchanges and cooperation have set off a new upsurge. China is ready, according to the needs of Macedonia, to actively join in the construction of roads, power plants and other major projects in Macedonia, and at the same time to expand cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and building materials in order to push forward China-Macedonia relations to a new high.
Gruevski expressed that Macedonia-China cooperation projects on roads and electric power have been promoted in a down-to-earth manner and the areas of cooperation have been explored unceasingly. Macedonia is ready to build the Chinese economic zones so as to provide facilitation for Chinese businesses and commodities to enter Macedonia and Europe and to conduct more cooperation with China.
When meeting with Bratusek, Li Keqiang said that China and Slovenia enjoy sound relations and fruitful cooperation. The Chinese government supports domestic businesses for expanding investment in Slovenia and actively joining in Slovenia's infrastructure construction including renovation and expansion of railways and ports so as to work with countries in the region to push for railway network construction of CEE countries.
Bratusek expressed that Chinese businesses are welcomed to expand investment in Slovenia and to actively join in the privatization process as well as railway and port construction in Slovenia. Slovenia is ready to strengthen financial, high-tech and tourism cooperation with China.
When meeting with Rama, Li Keqiang said that China and Albania enjoy profound traditional friendship which is the precious treasure of the two countries. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Albania in the fields of transport infrastructure, agriculture and resources and to encourage Chinese businesses to join in the reconstruction of national railway network as well as the construction of roads, power stations and ports in Albania, so as to turn traditional friendship into more cooperation outcomes and to better serve their respective development.
Rama expressed that Albania and China enjoy a time-honored traditional friendship and a solid foundation of cooperation. Albania agrees on China's cooperation proposals and is ready to work with China to tap potentials to the full, to leverage Albania's geographical advantages and to explore cooperation in the fields of roads, railways, ports and electric power so as to open up a new chapter of bilateral friendship and of CEE-China cooperation.
