On September 18, 2026, Pang Chunxue, Chinese Ambassador to Albania, attended the forum “Contemporary China from a Balkan Perspective: Dialogue and Reflection,” hosted by the Albanian Institute of Globalization. About 20 think-tank scholars and media representatives from China, Albania, North Macedonia, Italy and other countries took part.

In her address, Ambassador Pang said that the once-in-a-century changes in the world are accelerating, the international landscape is intertwined with volatility and transformation, and challenges of various kinds keep emerging. China has put forward the four global initiatives, which are designed to address the deficits in peace, development, security and governance and have injected stability and positive energy into the world. The countries of the Balkan region are important development and cooperation partners of China, and China stands ready to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with countries in the region in a joint pursuit of development and prosperity.

The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participating scholars shared their views on the international and regional situation, China-Albania relations and China-Central and Eastern European Countries (China-CEEC) cooperation, expressing readiness to deepen people-to-people, cultural and academic exchanges with China and contribute to the steady growth of relations with China.
