On 11 October 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Slovakia, together with the embassies of Japan, Viet Nam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Palestine in Slovakia, co-hosted the 2026 Asian Cultural Festival in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Counsellor Wang Xiaojian and diplomatic envoys of relevant countries stationed in Slovakia attended and delivered remarks.

Wang stated that China advocates and acts on the Global Civilization Initiative, upholds respect for the diversity of world civilizations and promotes the common values of humanity. This event fully demonstrates the mutual-learning spirit and cultural charm of Asian nations, serving as a vivid practice of the Global Civilization Initiative. Boasting a long history and rich culture, China welcomes Slovak visitors to take advantage of the visa-free policy and experience in person the authentic China — ancient yet youthful, traditional yet modern.

The event was imbued with a festive and vibrant atmosphere. The martial arts performance organized by our Embassy drew rounds of cheers. The China booth attracted a constant stream of visitors. Embassy staff demonstrated Chinese calligraphy, tea art and exquisite handicrafts from China for local people. Staff members in panda costumes interacted with the audience and became the highlight of the whole event.
