On October 16, the Chinese Embassy in Belarus hosted the “Step into the Embassy, Meet China” Open Day. About 100 people attended, including Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan; Anatoly Tozik, Chairman of the Belarusian-Chinese Friendship Association, recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, and Belarusian Director of the Republican Confucius Institute of Sinology (RCIS) at Belarusian State University; Andrei Karol, Rector of Belarusian State University, along with faculty and student representatives; and young diplomats from the Embassy.

Ambassador Zhang congratulated Professor Tozik on receiving the Chinese Government Friendship Award, and introduced the basic situation of China’s diplomatic missions abroad and the Chinese Embassy in Belarus. He noted that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Lukashenko, China-Belarus relations have entered the best period in history, and cooperation across various fields has yielded fruitful results. He encouraged young students to study Chinese well, gain a better understanding of China, and take up the baton of the China-Belarus friendship.
Professor Tozik spoke highly of China’s development achievements and the important role China plays on the international stage. He said that the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, proposed by President Xi Jinping, offers a Chinese approach to addressing the challenges of our time. He stressed that he and the Republican Confucius Institute of Sinology would continue to make active contributions to promoting people-to-people friendship between Belarus and China.
The young Belarusian students said they felt greatly honored to visit the Embassy and that Belarus and China are true friends. They expressed their commitment to studying Chinese hard, learning about Chinese culture, and carrying forward China-Belarus friendship.

The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Young Belarusian students performed Chinese dances and songs; young diplomats from the Embassy gave a thematic presentation on China's achievements in Chinese modernization and recited Belarusian poetry. Participants also enthusiastically experienced traditional Chinese cultural activities such as Rubbing.
