Ambassador Fang Qiu addressed the opening of the Study in Beijing education fair in Athens on October 27. Leaders and representatives of Greek universities including Athens University of Economics and Business attended.

Fang said that in the 20 years since China and Greece established their comprehensive strategic partnership, educational exchanges and cooperation have kept deepening and become an important platform for people-to-people bonds. This year marks the start of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, and China will continue to expand high-level opening-up in education. He expressed China's readiness to strengthen cooperation with Greece in university exchanges and talent cultivation, welcomed Greek students to study in China, and called for education cooperation to promote mutual learning among civilizations and lift China-Greece relations to a new level.

The Greek side spoke highly of the results of bilateral education cooperation, saying Greece attaches great importance to cooperation with China and is ready to deepen exchanges and expand cooperation with Chinese universities, injecting cultural momentum into Greece-China relations.
