Application Guide - Foerign Applicants the Research Fund for Relationship between China and Central and Eastern Europe 2018

　　Research Fund for Relationship between China and Central and Eastern Europe is set up for supporting research programs and academic exchanges on the Cooperation between China and 16 Central and Eastern European Countries (16+1 Cooperation). The Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries is responsible for managing the fund.

　　The Fund will in 2018 sponsor several joint research projects by Chinese and foreign academic institutions. Foreign academic institutions that consider participation are kindly reminded of the following:

　　I. Subject

　　On the Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (namely Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia).

　　II. Duration

　　Short-term projects will be concluded in June 2018 while annual projects will be concluded in October 2018.

　　III. Funding

　　Sponsorship for one short-term project will not exceed 70,000 RMB and annual project 150,000 RMB.

　　IV. Application

　　It is requested that in each joint research project, one Chinese institution shall serve as the leading party, which shall submit the application, sign the contract with the 16+1 Secretariat, and receive the sponsorship on behalf of all participating parties. Rights, responsibilities and obligations of the participating parties shall be settled among the parties.

　　The deadline for application is 1 March 2018. The Secretariat will evaluate applications and give feedback to the applicants in time.
