On September 24, Ambassador Zhou Qian attended the “Zhejiang’s Love Shared Across the Horizon” Mid-Autumn event for overseas Chinese in the Czech Republic, with about 300 overseas Chinese participating.

Ambassador Zhou conveyed to the overseas Chinese the Mid-Autumn greetings of the motherland and distributed mooncakes. He said that this year marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan and China is developing rapidly. He hoped that overseas Chinese, especially the younger generation, would visit the motherland more often to feel the pulse of development and seize opportunities. He praised the overseas Chinese for their hard work, unity and mutual help, and for showing the good image of the Chinese people through their words and deeds. They are an important window for Czech society to understand China and have made valuable contributions to non-governmental exchanges and practical cooperation. He promised that the embassy will act on the principle of “diplomacy for the people,” serve as a reliable “home” for overseas Chinese, and provide better services, solving problems and offering support.
